Sign Up for Classes

The easiest way to manage the payment process is either (a) you sign into the https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/classic/ws?studioid=182730, locate your account on Strong Bodies, and sign into the class that day OR (b) I can sign you in post class. If you don’t have an account on Mindbody, you can pay me through Venmo @Christina-Strong-8. We will figure it out!

 

Suggested Equipment

I like the idea of having a set or two of dumbbells. This all depends on what you want re: weights. Personally, I like having a set of 10’s (for arms shoulders), and a set of 15’s (for chest and back). Nothing crazy heavy but perfect for higher rep. I like a heavier KB for Squat and Deadlift (25-35 lb). Again, this is all personal preference but suggested for our workouts. Bands are great, as long as you have a secure place to attach them. I like the red/pink and orange ‘travel bands’ from www.performbetter.com. . We use the travel bands at the gym. They are shorter and have handles (about $20/band). Good for smaller spaces. GET a mini-band, too (about $3/band)!

If you decide to order equipment, Amazon is a great place to do that, but usually buy my equipment from www.performbetter.com.

 

Getting Started with Zoom

Get Zoom
We will conduct classes via ZOOM. It’s a free app on your phone.  If you have used Zoom before, great!  If not, please download the FREE app to your smart phone or Ipad.  You can use your desktop, but it will be easier to move around your home, as necessary if you have it on your phone.  It will ask you for a password to set up your account, etc.  Try to do this tonight so that you don’t need to do it tomorrow just before class.  Yes, you can tune in late to a class and leave early, if you need to. Once you work with the technology a couple of times, it’s easy!

PLEASE review the info below. You will do the following:
1. Download the ZOOM App.
2. Log in (double check your password etc). Use the password provided above.
3. The app will then ask if you want to “call using Internet Audio” or Dial In. Please press ‘call using Internet Audio.’
5. It should connect you to the meeting and your trainer and/or trainer location.
6. Once we meet up, we will give you a few helpful hints re: your camera and audio for purposes of the workout.
7. When we/you are done with the workout or if you need to cut out early, you just press “END MEETING” button on your phone.
8. You may want your OWN music in the background because that aspect of the audio is not great.

Two helpful tips: When you log into ZOOM before class …
1. Make sure your microphone icon in the corner of your screen has a red line through it. This will turn off your sound but still allow you to hear your trainer. When you speak or have background noise with your microphone on, EVERYONE can hear it! Your trainer will communicate with you if you forget.
2. You can join the workout and keep your camera icon on or off (off is with the line through it). Again, you will be able to see your trainer, but your trainer won’t be able to see you (taking a break and folding laundry!)
